SATURDAY CENTUS: Murdered!

Jenny Matlock

Saturday Centus is a short story theme where you are given a different prompt each week, and have to work it into your story. The words this week are 100, you are allowed to add a picture and the prompt is in bold. Here is my short story:
Link
Marcus stood there staring in disbelief at the scene ... his red stained apron was obvious, the sharp knife in his hand a giveaway to the crime. "What if someone came and saw what he did?" he thought. "How am I ever going to explain this?"

It was too late for Marcus to try and turn back time now. Laura is going to walk through that door any minute. He tries to clean up the mess on the floor and hide it somehow.

That minute came .."What kind of pizza is this?" Laura chuckled.
Marcus had only left the packaging on in the oven and it blew up!!!

Oh NO! But believe it or not, I've known people who have done this, especially a few that left the cardboard underneath...oops!
